WavePOS for Aldelo Installation and Setup Guide

This guide provides installation instructions for the WavePOS for Aldelo application. Make sure Aldelo For Restaurants is already installed and running on the same computer.

Installing WavePOS for Aldelo

  1. Run WavePOS_for_Aldelo_Setup.exe and allow program access if User Account Control is prompted
  2. Accept all defaults with the installation by following the instructions
  3. After installation, the installer for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition will prompt. Install it by following the instructions. Once installation is completed, “WavePOS for Aldelo” folder is created on the desktop with the following application shortcuts

Aldelo2WavePosSdk.exe
  1. AldeloBridge: Interface application between WavePOS handhelds and Aldelo For Restaurants. AldeloBridge is required to be running for the handheld to communicate to the Aldelo For Restaurants
  2. WirelssLink: Centralized communication management for all handhelds. Handles all communication and data transfer to and from handheld
  3. Aldelo2WavePosSdk: Database conversion tool that converts and synchronizes all Aldelo data to the database used by the handhelds.  Running AldeloBridge will automatically execute Aldelo2WavePosSdk, so manually running Aldelo2WavePosSdk is not required. Use this tool to manually initiate synchronization.
Configuring and Testing WavePOS for Aldelo

  1. Run Aldelo2WavePosSdk.exe starts and finishes with no errors
  2. Run AldeloBridge.exe
Registering WavePOS for Aldelo

  1. Run WirelessLink.exe, and when the message box is prompt click Ok
  2. Open “C:\WaveSoft\wavePOSSDK\Utility\license.txt” file and copy the license code
  3. Go to http://www.wavesoft.com/aldelo to submit a license request/activation to WaveSoft
  4. Fill in all the required fields. Please make sure the email address is correct as it is used to send the license file
  5. For “Registration Number/ID”, enter the license code from step 7
  6. Click “Preview”
  7. After confirming the information, click “Confirm & Submit Registration”
  8. Once obtained the license.wps file from WaveSoft, put the it under “C:\waveSoft\WavePOSSDK\Utility\” folder, and run WirelessLink.exe
