Malaysia, Febuary 5 2003 - CompuWave to provide wireless POS solution to Pernas Hotel Group
Pernas International, one of Malaysia's premier hotel groups, has recently awarded CompuWave's solution as the main building block in a project to implement wireless POS system in their hotel chains. This project will be carried out by A Panacea Pte. Ltd., CompuWave's premier business partner in Singapore. 

Pernas is one of the largest hotel groups in Malaysia. It owns and manages the 5-star hotel group of Mutiara as well as several other international hotels, including 3 Hiltons in Malaysia. The project will start with Mutiara Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, which is currently under renovation and due to open early second quarter this year. By that time, its entire staff in the food and beverage (F&B) department will be able to take orders wirelessly. This will not only save operation time but also increase the productivity and service level; more importantly, with CompuWave’s wireless POS solution, the total IT investment for Pernas has come down significantly as would otherwise be if they had chosen the traditional routes of installing fix POS terminals. Mutiara Hotel will be the first hotel in Malaysia to implement and run a total wireless POS solution.
